Headed out

We're headed out tomorrow. Up to Searcy for Spring Sing. We're judging this year and I get to judge choreography--yea! I think it will be fun. We're also planning to take a family picture with Mom since all of us siblings, spouses and kids will be together. We haven't had our picture together in a long time! I'll definitely post it when I get it.

I've been MIA most of this week due to some throat issues. I'm coughing so deeply and even lost my voice! It's rare that I get even a little hoarse, but it was pitiful yesterday and not so good today! Being sick stinks. Makes you really appreciate being well! Oh to swallow pain-free again! I went to the doctor today and he thinks it's ALLERGIES. What? I don't have allergies! I made it through the East TX allergy season last year--what changed? Plus, since I'm still nursing, he couldn't give me the heavy-duty steroids like he gave John last time. I get the wimpy ones that will work ... eventually.

Yesterday was telling, though. I learned a lot not being able to yell. I had no idea how much I yelled throughout the day. Yelling across the house, across the yard either at the dogs or at Johnathan. Not even that I was angry most of those times; just trying to get their attention ... okay, I was angry a couple of times. But not being able to yell made me realize how it had become my first method of getting what I wanted ... like Kalleigh does! Where'd she learn that?!

I am resolved to REALLY TRY not to yell when my voice comes back ... if it comes back!
